According to statistics released by the General Administration of Customs of China, the total import and export value of domestic printed matter, printing equipment, and printing equipment from January to May 2022 was US$9.528 billion, an increase of 10% compared with the same period last year. Among them, the total import value was 1.962 billion US dollars (a year-on-year decrease of 12%) and the total export value was 7.566 billion US dollars (a year-on-year increase of 18%). During the same period, the domestic printed matter, printing equipment, and printing equipment import and export trade surplus totaled US$5.604 billion (a year-on-year increase of 33%).

From January to May 2022, the distribution and growth of domestic printed matter, printing equipment, and printing equipment import and export trade in major global regional markets are as follows: Asia is US$4.130 billion (a year-on-year increase of 2%), Europe is US$2.142 billion (a year-on-year increase of 10%) ), North America was US$2.309 billion (a year-on-year increase of 19%), Latin America was US$339 million (a year-on-year increase of 35%), Oceania was US$322 million (a year-on-year increase of 13%), and Africa was US$287 million (a year-on-year increase of 16%).
